On How to Get Through A Hard Day (Life)

I finished Ann’s book yesterday…it took me forever.

It’s just that every line is so pregnant with possibility that I had to put book away and ruminate

every now and then.

But the biggest epiphany I received is

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and I experience a day of disappointment

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and I receive an e-mail disappointed in me

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and a young couple is showered in love and gifts whole life ahead

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and a dear heart asks me to pray for her ailing parent

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and I’m asked to raise a child should something happen

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and a friend’s baby goes to Heaven unexpectedly

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and I didn’t get that job I applied for

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and my children follow the life God has for them and I am left hands and time empty

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and the widow woman sends us her mite

God is good always, and I am loved always.

…and God has a plan for my life and it’s always good and I’m always loved.

  1. ah, i like this. i feel like i was disappointing to someone this weekend and it shouldn’t really matter in the scheme of life. these are good words to remember.

  3. What a wonderful lesson to take away from the book!
    Beautiful post.
I nearly filled a journal with all the notes I had while reading it the first time…and wouldn’t you know, that lesson laces every page.
and still, it takes effort to remind myself of that every day. but I’m striving!

  4. Ah!! What you said is so incredibly true! Ann’s book is not one to be skimmed. In fact, I don’t think it cam be skimmed. Each line is full, too full to ignore. Each line, each word must be read followed by a pause so to soak into the soul.

Like you, I believe –> God is good always, and I am loved always.

    Beautiful post, my friend!

  5. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning.

Where would we be without his perfect, active, agape love?

Bless you as you bask in his love today, friend.

  6. Love your posts! And I loved her book. I was even asked to be a speaker at a women’s church function on her book and the topic of blessings. Another comfort zone He pulled me out of:)
    Blessings~
