God is Good by philidor vosotros
I finished Ann’s book yesterday…it took me forever.
It’s just that every line is so pregnant with possibility that I had to put book away and ruminate
every now and then.
But the biggest epiphany I received is
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and I experience a day of disappointment
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and I receive an e-mail disappointed in me
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and a young couple is showered in love and gifts whole life ahead
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and a dear heart asks me to pray for her ailing parent
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and I’m asked to raise a child should something happen
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and a friend’s baby goes to Heaven unexpectedly
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and I didn’t get that job I applied for
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and my children follow the life God has for them and I am left hands and time empty
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and the widow woman sends us her mite
God is good always, and I am loved always.
…and God has a plan for my life and it’s always good and I’m always loved.
Counting ways God is good and that I am loved:
ah, i like this. i feel like i was disappointing to someone this weekend and it shouldn’t really matter in the scheme of life. these are good words to remember.
i’ve got a lot of good words to ponder these days.
thanks for sharing and adding to my cupful 🙂

May your cup be full and overflowing…
“i am loved always…” no matter what. a lesson I’m still trying to learn. 🙂 thank you for this!
me too Tara..me too!
I’m just starting her book, and I can already tell it is one to be savored over time.
You are going to love it Patti!
oh I read it over and over again…the only way I could soak it all in…i love this…God finally won me over to this truth…
blessings
I love it when He wins us over…
I have her book on a biannual reading plan. I need a fresh reminder that all is a blessing. Beautiful words, “God is good always and I am loved always.”
Did you make up this plan? I’d love to know more…
What a wonderful lesson to take away from the book!
Beautiful post.
I nearly filled a journal with all the notes I had while reading it the first time…and wouldn’t you know, that lesson laces every page.
and still, it takes effort to remind myself of that every day. but I’m striving!
All for Him,
Nikki
It’s hard to change the core of how we think, isn’t it? I’m so thankful that we can renew our minds…
Be your perfect authentic, real self, just the way God made you.
You are so sweet.
I just repeated an inspiration from a Lenten prayer card. It’s so good to remember that some of what I consider imperfections are gifts He gave me.
Yes, His gifts often come in unusual packages… 🙂
Ah!! What you said is so incredibly true! Ann’s book is not one to be skimmed. In fact, I don’t think it cam be skimmed. Each line is full, too full to ignore. Each line, each word must be read followed by a pause so to soak into the soul.
Like you, I believe –> God is good always, and I am loved always.
Beautiful post, my friend!
Thanks Stefanie…btw…I am glad that you are being obedient to the Holy Spirit, but…I miss telling you how beautiful your writing is to me…((hugs))
a wonderful book leaving us all with a wonderful reminder, his love is deep and wide and always.
Do you remember that children’s chorus, “Deep and Wide”? You’ve reminded me today…
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases. His mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning.
Where would we be without his perfect, active, agape love?
Bless you as you bask in his love today, friend.
I do bask in His love and His goodness….ever thankful..
wonderful post…grateful for His love…still learning to let His words sink in deeper into my heart… thanks 🙂
I need Him to change me from the inside out.
Love your posts! And I loved her book. I was even asked to be a speaker at a women’s church function on her book and the topic of blessings. Another comfort zone He pulled me out of:)
Blessings~
I’ll be praying for you friend…He’s been planning this for you since before you were born!
Oh, how I rest in that truth some days. Beautiful. Always.
Yes…some days…may we learn together how to make it all days.
Awe, love it. His unwavering goodness and love…enough to trust Him through anything.
He is trustworthy, is He not?
Oh, yes! God is good and I am always loved! Some days it is a tug of war to keep God’s goodness – but what a beautiful reminder that I can win that!
You are always loved…always.
I love the way you bring home the point here – there are no exceptions…God is good always…and I am loved always.
I almost rewrote it, because it was so repetitive, but then I thought, “If it was good enough for Psalms, it’s good enough for me!”
I just finished Ann’s book yesterday.
Today I forgot every word, for I was ungrateful and not very happy.
Tomorrow I will try again.
I know, right? It’s funny how we read about the children of Israel and wonder how they can be so forgetful, and then we are even worse than they are.
Such a right on time message for me. And today I received a very hurtful email. God is good always, and I am loved always. I really need this my friend.
I am so glad my words brought you healing. You are His beloved…and I love you too.
Really refreshing post.
Thanks Denise!
Beautiful. We recently went through a painful family crisis and the words I clung to were: life is messy, but God is faithful.
I love it! Life can be messy!
He is always good, and we are always loved. Such a truth to remember. Lovely, lovely post.
Thank you dearest!
I think we are kind of on the same wavelength. Did you see my Sunday post?
Love how you always encourage!
No, but I’m headed there now!
thank you for sharing this lovely line .. It makes a lot of difference to my thoughts ..
I’m glad these words have spoken to your heart.
