But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.
Isaiah 40:30-31
I know, I know it sounded like I was expecting a baby, but in a way I am. I am pregnant with expectations! Remember Narnia? Aslan is on the move? The Holy Spirit is on the move and He hovers over my life just like He hovered over the face of the deep.
What will He do today? Will He show me a hidden treasure? Will He whisper sweet somethings in my ear? Will He caress my cheek with a breeze? I’m expecting Simple Pleasures and Hidden Treasures with Him today. What an adventure!
As I’ve written previously EXPECT is my word for the year….Are you interested in finding out more about the one word movement? Check it out here.
in the words of my teens. . . . suuuuweeet. 🙂
In the words of my teens…you’re a beast! (That’s a good thing btw)
KD, again, another confirmation! About 2 weeks before Christmas I began getting a real stirring in my spirit of expectation for the many prodigals I have on my prayer list! 2012 is the year to see the Lord complete many things He began years ago. And, then my guest blogger, Carol, had a strong word for 2012 that is posted on my blog.
Yes, we are PREGNANT with EXPECTATION!!!
I agree with you in prayer to expect a miracle in the lives of our prodigals.
I love how expecting God to show up ALWAYS results in His presence. And His presence is ALWAYS mind-blowing.
I am expecting for Him to show up! And it’s amazing how when we expect Him, He comes!
I’m laughing to myself!! Your title really got me! I thought I was coming to a pregnancy announcement. Great job!
However, I LOVE the twist on EXPECTING. I love your thoughts! May we all walk in expectation today, patiently waiting for his work to manifest in and around us.
Thanks Stefanie. I’m expecting right along with you.
Ha! Very clever! You got me 🙂
I joined the one word movement too with the word discipline. I think I like yours better! 😉
Of course you like mine better, discipline is a toughy. But, I’m sure that if God gave you the word, He’ll give you the grace to do it.
Oh my gosh…I reall thought you were pregnant! LOL! I agree — many spiritual expectations hoverning around 2012, and I can’t wait to see what God does!
Me either! I’m excited about your book! Let me know when its published. I’d love to help promote it.
this kind of “expecting” can be contagious – I hope everyone catches it.
I agree. Spread it everywhere you go.
You had me going… Thank you for reminding me that I can also be “expecting” great things from God!
Your welcome. Make sure to come by and tell me when God has done great things.
Very, very clever. And good.
I think it’s still appropriate if I say “congratulations!” ??
Absolutely. I’d much rather look at life with expectation for the good then to dread each day expecting the worst.
Smiling here. 🙂
Glad I could make you smile…
You got me : )
Hehe! It was fun!
You got me! 🙂
Fun!
